Hi everyone I’m Rakshita Lohia, former sports captain of Shalom Presidency School for session 2023-24 The school taught me discipline, perseverance, and selfless leadership. That sense of responsibility given by the school shaped my own approach to life and leadership. The values I learned continue to guide me today in my professional and personal life , I draw inspiration from those school days when I learned that success isn’t an individual journey—it’s a shared victory. I'm deeply grateful to shalom presidency for the foundations that shape who I am today.

Indrani Maiti 2022-23

I cannot believe how far I've come since my years at Shalom. I joined when I was in 6th grade and I still remember the first few faces I saw the minute I stepped in. It was utter chaos and I remember doubting this decision. It was one of the best choices ever made. With Shalom, I found a school where I was able to hone my talents and work on my weaknesses. I found people I am still in touch with and I would not trade this experience for anything else in the world. Even during bad days, my teachers were always there to help out as much as they could and I would not have found this path that I am on, without them. I had the incredible opportunity to be Vice Sports Captain, Vice Head Girl for three consecutive sessions, and recieve the Presidency Star during my school years, and I still safeguard my badges, medals and certificates till date. Some moments in those classrooms still make me laugh. With pride, I continue to carry my school and its values with me and I would not have it any other way. I hope Shalom Presidency continues to inspire and guide other students on their paths and I cannot wait to see how far each of us go. With gratitude, Indrani Maiti (2016-2023)

Arshveen Kaur Bhasin 2021-22

Looking back, I truly feel that Shalom Presidency School played one of the biggest roles in shaping the person I am today. When I first joined the school, I was a very shy and reserved girl who lacked confidence in herself. Over the years, Shalom became a place where I slowly found my voice, grew more confident, and discovered my potential. The school constantly encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and gave me opportunities that helped me grow both personally and academically. Becoming the first Head Girl of the school was one of the most special moments of my journey because it taught me leadership, responsibility, and confidence at a very young age. I will always be grateful to my teachers for believing in me and guiding me throughout the years. I also had the opportunity to represent the school at the World Scholar’s Cup in China, which was a memorable learning experience and helped me become more open minded and confident. Receiving the School Topper Award was another moment that made me feel proud and thankful for all the support and encouragement I received from the school. What makes Shalom truly special is not just academics or achievements, but the warmth, discipline, values, and support that every student receives. My teachers were never just educators, they were mentors who genuinely cared about helping us become better individuals. Even today, when I look back at my school years, I do so with immense gratitude and love. Shalom Presidency School gave me memories, friendships, values, and confidence that I will carry with me forever. I will always be proud to be a part of the Shalom family.

Eshaan Saha

Eshaan Saha 2022-23

I stepped into Shalom Presidency School in 2017 with enthusiasm and curiosity, and by the time I graduated in 2023, the school had played a huge role in shaping my character, confidence, and leadership skills. My journey here was much more than academics. It was a phase of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences. The school’s balanced curriculum helped me develop not only academically but also personally. Along with strong academics, the school encouraged students to participate in leadership activities, sports, and co-curricular events, helping us build confidence, discipline, communication skills, and teamwork. I was honored to serve the school as Vice Head Boy and later as Head Boy. These experiences taught me responsibility, leadership, and how to work closely with both students and teachers. I also had the privilege of representing the school at zonal and district-level sports competitions, which taught me perseverance, sportsmanship, and the importance of teamwork. What I value most about Shalom Presidency School is how it always encouraged students to push beyond their limits and become better versions of themselves. The support, guidance, and opportunities I received during my years from 2017 to 2023 have had a lasting impact on me, and I will always remain grateful to the school for helping shape the person I am today.

Aymon Sikka 2025-26

As a child, I was mesmerized by a particular sight of senior student-leaders marching purposefully with the school flag held high. Their confident voices, articulating thoughts with eloquence and poise, stirred something within me: aspiration. I remember thinking, "One day, that could be me." That day came sooner than expected. When I transitioned from Chandigarh to join Shalom in Grade 8, I arrived carrying three things in my heart: aspiration, ambition, and an earnest desire to grow. What I discovered was far more profound than a school, I found a family. At Shalom, aspirations didn't merely float as distant dreams; they were nurtured into lived reality. In five transformative years, I experienced a metamorphosis that I could never have anticipated - From silence to eloquence, serving as the Director General of Shalom MUN 2025. From spectator to athlete, serving as Leader of the School Football Team. From bystander to artist, playing as Lead Guitarist of the School Band and most importantly from follower to a leader, serving as the Head Boy of the School. Each milestone wasn't simply about acquiring a title, it was about discovering capabilities I didn't know I possessed. The essence of the Shalom identity is strongly crystallized in a single, powerful statement: "Once a Shalomite, always a Shalomite." We remain part of a lineage of leaders, dreamers, and changemakers committed to making the world a better place, and for us Shalom has played a huge role!

Alumni Homecoming at Abhivyakti Once a Shalomite, always a Shalomite

Shalom Presidency School witnessed a heartwarming homecoming as 25 alumni from different batches returned to their beloved campus for Abhivyakti, the Annual Assembly of Grade IX.

The school was delighted to welcome its alumni batch-wise:

Batch 2023: Krishangi, Eshaan, Rijvan, Rishika and Nishant

Batch 2024: Rishi, Utkarsh, Chaitanya, Rakshita, Pradnya, Siya, Bhavika, Garima and Prakhar

Batch 2025: Kirish Gurjar, Shivank Mittal, Krish Ahuja and Aadhya

Batch 2026: Aymon, Nandini, Natasha, Twinkle, Suryansh, Grisha and Sukh Meyher

Their presence added warmth and nostalgia to the celebration. The visit became even more special as the alumni had the honour of meeting Founder, Dr Mrs. Lilly George, and our Sherpa & Vice Chairman, Mr Dennis George. Walking through the familiar corridors, meeting their teachers and revisiting treasured memories filled the day with joy, gratitude and emotion.

Adding a soulful touch to the occasion, alumni Aymon Sikka and Abhay Sharma gave an impromptu live performance, singing and playing the guitar, making the atmosphere truly magical.

After seeking blessings from their teachers, the alumni enjoyed a hearty lunch thoughtfully arranged by the school and specially planned by MD Ma’am. During an enriching interaction, Vice Chairman Sir encouraged them to return as mentors and share their expertise with their juniors. They were also invited to explore the school’s progressive opportunities, including the Ingenium Lab.

The day beautifully reaffirmed the eternal bond of the Shalom family — once a Shalomite, always a Shalomite.
