Educational trip to Parliament House

An educational trip to the Parliament House was organised for Grade VII students on 30 April 2025. Students visited the Parliament complex with great enthusiasm and learned about the law-making process through an official briefing. They explored the Lok Sabha Hall, Rajya Sabha Hall, and Central Hall, and observed proceedings from the public galleries. The guided tour offered valuable insights into parliamentary functioning and architectural significance. The visit also included the Parliament Museum, showcasing India’s history through modern technology. This enriching excursion deepened students’ civic awareness and appreciation for India’s democratic framework.

Historical Ramp Walk Competition – Relive the Past!

On 17 April 2025, the Social Science Department of Shalom Presidency School organised the Historical Ramp Walk Competition for Grades VI to VIII in the Conference Room. Aligned with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework, the event brought history alive through the theme “Relive the Past!” Students represented Ancient, Medieval, and Modern India, transforming the ramp into a living timeline with 57 enthusiastic participants. Through creative costumes, impactful narrations, and meaningful props, learners showcased India’s cultural, social, and political heritage. The competition fostered confidence, creativity, and historical understanding, making history an engaging and memorable learning experience.

Mesmerizing storytelling session

The academic session began with a Mesmerising Storytelling Session for Grades I to V on 1st and 2nd April at Shalom Presidency School. The session was led by Mrs. Vandana Tandon, an accomplished educator and counsellor, who enthralled students with her expressive and imaginative storytelling. Her engaging narratives sparked creativity, curiosity, and a love for literature, transporting young listeners into a world of wonder.The session beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing imagination, creative learning, and a lifelong love for stories, in alignment with our Navigator’s inspiring vision.

Enchanting magic show

Students of Grades III, IV, and V enjoyed an Enchanting Magic Show on 8 April 2024 in the school auditorium, led by renowned magician Mr. Prashant from Hindustan Times. His thrilling acts—featuring illusions, levitation, vanishing tricks, and mind-reading—left students amazed and delighted. The interactive performance, with students invited on stage, filled the auditorium with laughter, excitement, and wonder. Beyond entertainment, the show inspired curiosity, creativity, and imaginative thinking, offering a refreshing break from academics and creating unforgettable magical memories for the young audience.

Dynamic Courtroom – Moot Court Presentation

The Conference Room turned into a vibrant courtroom on 18 February 2025, as Grade VIII conducted an engaging Moot Court Presentation attended by all Grade VIII students. Based on the case Jiya Amoli v/s SBI, inspired by Rajesh Sakre v/s SBI, students confidently enacted legal roles and presented compelling arguments for both prosecution and defense. The event provided hands-on exposure to the Indian legal system, while enhancing students’ advocacy, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. Beyond a simulation, the presentation nurtured discipline, analytical reasoning, and respect for justice, reinforcing the belief that law is a responsibility and a pursuit of fairness.

Annual Assembly Grades IV & V– Bharat: Ek Vishvaguru

The Annual Assembly of Grades IV and V was held on 8 February 2025 in the school auditorium on the theme “Bharat – Ek Vishvaguru.” The event celebrated India’s rich heritage, wisdom, and global contributions through inspiring speeches, cultural dances, and impactful theatrical performances. Guided by Founder , Dr. Mrs. Lilly George students showcased India’s excellence in science, spirituality, and philosophy. A special tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel highlighted his role in national unity, while a vibrant segment on Indian festivals reflected the nation’s unity in diversity. The grand finale concluded the event on an uplifting note, earning widespread appreciation for students and teachers alike.

Spellathon Challenge

The school auditorium came alive on January 24, 2025, as students of Grades III, IV, and V participated in the Spellathon Challenge. The event featured three exciting rounds—Dictation, Word Scramble, and Rapid Fire—designed to test spelling accuracy, speed, and confidence. Our Sherpa & Vice Chairman-Mr. Dennis George, graced the occasion and motivated students on the importance of language skills. Judges Ms. Swati Stephen and Ms. Pooja Rajput applauded the participants’ focus and determination. The event successfully celebrated spelling, learning, and young linguistic talent.

Hand Washing

Why Is Hand Washing So Important? Our Pre primary children were shown the best way to keep them guarded from getting sick and prevent the spread of germs. They demonstrated how to scrub those germs away by practically trying out: Wet your hands with clean, running water . Use soap and lather up for about 20 seconds. Make sure you get in between your fingers, on the backs of hands, and under the nails where germs like to hang out. Rinse and dry well with a clean towel.

Exhilarating University Fair

Shalom Presidency School hosted an exhilarating University Fair on 14.7.2023 that left everyone buzzing with excitement. The University Fair was a true celebration of knowledge, with both students and parents actively participating and contributing to the riveting atmosphere. It served as an occasion to strengthen the school community, bringing together students, parents, and educators in a shared pursuit of educational excellence.
