Shalom Presidency School successfully conducted
ROBOQUEST: STEM Summer Camp 2026, a 10-day programme from 1–12 June 2026 at the
STEM Ingenium Lab for students of Grades I–X. The camp offered hands-on
learning in robotics, coding, AI, electronics, drones, Arduino, and 3D
printing, fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
The initiative was held under the visionary guidance
of our Founder, Dr. Lilly George, and the inspiring leadership of our Sherpa
& Vice Chairman, Mr. Dennis George, reinforcing the school's commitment to
future-ready education.
The programme concluded with a Culmination Ceremony,
where students showcased their projects to parents, followed by a STEM Lab
walkthrough and certificate distribution. The event received an overwhelming
appreciation from parents, marking the camp as a resounding success.
Shalom Presidency School organised an inspiring Libration Programme for the students of Grades V–VII on 3 July 2026 in the School Auditorium. The session was conducted by renowned educator, author, and storytelling expert Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, founder of Libration, who is widely recognised for fostering a love for reading through engaging and interactive learning experiences. The programme aimed to ignite a passion for reading, nurture creativity, and encourage students to think beyond textbooks. Through captivating storytelling, interactive activities, and meaningful discussions, Mr Rooprai inspired students to explore the world of books, ask questions, and express their ideas with confidence. Students enthusiastically participated throughout the session, responding to thought-provoking questions, sharing their perspectives, and engaging in creative challenges. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session that left students motivated to read more, think critically, and become lifelong learners. The Libration Programme proved to be an enriching and memorable experience, reinforcing the values of curiosity, creativity, and the transformative power of reading. It was highly appreciated by both students and teachers, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
Shalom Presidency School conducted an enriching Reading Enrichment
Workshop on 4 July 2026 in the Conference Hall. The session,
led by renowned author and educator Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, inspired
teachers to cultivate a strong reading culture among students while promoting a
healthy balance between reading and technology.
The workshop highlighted the transformative power of reading in
enhancing imagination, concentration, creativity, and critical thinking. Emphasising
the importance of reducing excessive screen time, the speaker explained how
regular reading contributes to the holistic development of children, while
prolonged screen exposure can adversely affect their physical and mental
well-being.
Mr Rooprai also shared practical classroom strategies to make reading
engaging through interactive activities, meaningful discussions, and
thoughtfully designed lesson plans. His personal journey—from researching the
origin of his own name to exploring India's rich history, the Indus Valley Civilisation,
science, and culture—served as a powerful reminder that curiosity is the
foundation of lifelong learning.
The session further encouraged educators to adopt healthy daily habits,
such as limiting screen time before bedtime, beginning the day with positive
activities, and inspiring students to appreciate India's rich heritage and the
wisdom embedded in its traditions.
On 19th May 2026, Shalom Presidency School conducted an orientation session under the SPRIX Indo-Japan School Alliance Initiative for students of Grades X, XI and XII. The session was led by Ms. Bhoomi Nagpal, a second-year student from IIT Delhi associated with SPRIX.
Students were introduced to opportunities such as the Student Exchange Program, Internship & Industry Visit Program, TOFAS Examination, and the SPRIX IIT Tutor Program. The session highlighted academic mentorship, international collaboration and global exposure, encouraging students to embrace future-ready learning experiences.
Shalom Presidency School, in collaboration with IDC, conducted an enriching and insightful Career Planning Orientation Workshop for students of Grade XII on April 16, 2026. The session was led by Ms Radhika Narayan Lazarus, a distinguished and certified Career Counsellor from Boston University, who brings over a decade of experience in guiding students.
The workshop focused on helping students explore diverse career pathways, understand future opportunities, and make informed decisions about their professional journeys. Students were also introduced to the IDC app and its features, enabling them to access personalised guidance for their career-related queries.
The session was highly interactive, encouraging students to engage, ask questions, and gain clarity on various career options and decision-making processes. Overall, the workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience, equipping students with the awareness and confidence to navigate their future careers effectively.
Shalom Presidency School, in collaboration with the Public Health Foundation of India, conducted an engaging and informative session on “Climate Change and Its Health Impacts” for students in Grades VI to VIII on 30 April 2026.
The session was led by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Preeti Negandhi (Professor and Chair, JSW Centre for Climate Change and Health), Dr. Sandeep Kaur, and Ms Anushka Rajvansh. The objective of the session was to sensitise students to the concept of climate change and help them understand its direct and indirect impact on human health, particularly among children, while encouraging them to adopt responsible and sustainable practices.
The interactive session included age-appropriate explanations, real-life examples, and discussions on key topics such as air pollution, heat stress, waste management, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. Students were also guided on simple yet effective actions they can take to contribute towards a healthier environment.
The session proved to be highly insightful and engaging, fostering awareness and empowering students to become responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.
The Orientation Session for the Shalom – White Canvas Young CEO Program, Season 3 was successfully conducted on 11th April 2026, marking the beginning of another impactful journey following the remarkable success of its previous seasons.
The programme, introduced under the visionary guidance of the school management, is designed to cultivate entrepreneurial mindset, leadership qualities, and innovative thinking among students. It aims to equip young learners with practical exposure to real-world business concepts, preparing them to become future-ready leaders.
The session was led by Ms. Samaresh Shah, Founder of White Canvas, who provided an insightful overview of the programme. He elaborated on its vision, structure, and the wide range of opportunities it offers to students, including hands-on learning experiences and skill development in entrepreneurship.
The orientation witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from parents of students from Grades 8, 9, and 11. Their engagement and positive response reflected a strong alignment with the school’s vision of fostering creativity, leadership, and innovation in students.
The successful commencement of Season 3 reinforces the institution’s continued commitment to holistic education and empowering students to explore their potential beyond the classroom.
Shalom Presidency School launched the “Voice of Responsible Bharat” Certification Programme in collaboration with Consat Orahi and Brut India, taking another meaningful step towards nurturing informed, aware, and responsible citizens.
The session aimed to equip students with essential 21st-century skills such as media literacy, critical thinking, and responsible digital engagement. In today’s fast-paced digital world, where information spreads rapidly across multiple platforms, the programme highlighted the importance of identifying credible information, understanding media narratives, and becoming responsible consumers and creators of digital content.
The event was conducted by esteemed resource persons Ms Mehak Kasbekar, Ms Ananya Bhardwaj, and Ms Priyanka Sharma, who shared valuable insights on navigating the evolving media landscape. Through engaging discussions and interactive exchanges, students were guided in evaluating information critically, identifying bias, and understanding the significance of maintaining a responsible digital presence.
The session proved to be highly enriching and insightful, encouraging students to reflect on media ethics and the impact of their digital footprint. The initiative reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering responsible citizenship while preparing learners to participate thoughtfully and responsibly in the digital age.
