Educational Visit to Parliament House, New Delhi

Shalom Presidency School participated in an educational visit to the Parliament House, New Delhi, on 25 December 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji and Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Ji. Students of Grades VIII, IX, and XI participated in the visit to gain experiential learning and a deeper understanding of India’s democratic system.

The visit was conducted under a Youth Affairs programme, where students from various states participated, exchanged ideas, and engaged in meaningful discussions. Two students from SGOS, Saanchi Sachin Behede (Shalom Presidency School) and Arushi (Shalom Hills International School), delivered well-articulated speeches on the life and contributions of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji before an audience comprising students from over ten schools and colleges, along with honoured dignitaries.

A major highlight of the visit was a group photograph with the Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla Ji. Students also gained valuable insights into the structure and functioning of the Indian Parliament. The visit proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience, enhancing students’ understanding of civic responsibility, leadership, and democratic governance.

Educational Trip to Delhi: A Journey Through History and Culture

The Humanities students recently embarked on an insightful educational trip to Delhi, immersing themselves in the city’s rich historical, architectural, and political heritage. The trip aimed to provide experiential learning, enabling students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world experiences.

The journey began at Humayun’s Tomb and the Sunken Museum, where students admired the grandeur of Mughal architecture and explored the evolution of garden tombs, which later inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.

At the Prime Ministers’ Museum, students engaged with interactive displays and digital exhibits, gaining a deeper understanding of the lives, achievements, and contributions of India’s Prime Ministers, as well as the evolution of the nation’s democratic framework.

The visit continued to the Qutub Complex and the iconic Qutub Minar, where students were fascinated by the intricate carvings and historical layers of Indo-Islamic architecture, reinforcing their classroom learning of medieval Indian history.

Overall, the trip was highly educational and inspiring, offering students a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the richness of India’s heritage, governance, and cultural legacy.

Field trips are an opportunity for you to enter into the world of mystical power

Under the visionary leadership of our Founder and Chairperson Dr. Mrs Lilly George,an educational trip to Parliament House was arranged for Grade VII students on 30th April 2025. With great zeal and enthusiasm, the students along with the faculty members visited the parliament complex and were welcomed by various officials of the secretariat, who presented a brief introduction about law- making process. After the brief introduction, the group proceeded for a guided tour to explore Lok Sabha Hall, Rajya Sabha Hall, and Central Hall. Students and faculty took opportunity of sitting in public gallery of both houses. The tour guide very efficiently explained the intricacies of different halls and elaborated upon various insightful facts about these structures. The group was served with some snacks in the banquet hall of the Parliament. After a quick group photograph in the lawns of the prestigious parliament, the group visited the Parliament Museum which highlighted various important facts about our history, and the same was displayed magnificently with the help of present-day modern technology.

This wonderful and knowledgeable excursion not only helped the students gain knowledge but also allowed them to witness the mesmerizing Parliament of India.

SRCC Economics Summit 2025

Shalom Presidency School continually endeavours to provide enriching learning experiences that empower students to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of the world. In line with this vision, a selected group of learners had the exceptional opportunity to attend the prestigious Economics Summit 2025 hosted by the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) on 8th April 2025.

The summit featured an illustrious panel of keynote speakers, including Mr. T.K. Arun, former Editor of The Economic Times, who shared valuable insights on the role of media and journalism in shaping economic policies, markets, and governance. Mr. Saurav Jha, founder of Delhi Defence Review, addressed contemporary issues related to geopolitics, defence, and the political economy to the audience.

SRCC students also introduced Shalomites to their economic journals, which showcase data collection and research on various economic policies and issues. A guided tour of the SRCC campus, led by enthusiastic student volunteers, offered our learners a glimpse into the rich history and academic culture of the Institution.

The summit proved to be a highly immersive and intellectually stimulating experience. Students explored vital themes, including Environmental-Social Governance, Stock Exchange operations, Startups, Investments, Financial Management, and Equity.

A Walk Through History: Exploring the Heart of India's Leadership

On 28th February 2025, 34 enthusiastic students of Grade 9, accompanied by their teachers, embarked on an educational visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The trip aimed to enhance their understanding of India’s governance, history, and architectural brilliance. As they stepped into the majestic premises, they were captivated by the grand structure, intricate designs, and the serene Amrit Udyan, which were in full bloom, painting a vibrant landscape.

Beyond the visual splendor, the visit provided valuable insights into the role of the President of India and the nation’s administrative framework. Students eagerly engaged in discussions, posing thoughtful questions about the historical artifacts and governance systems. The trip was meticulously planned, ensuring safety and supervision throughout. This immersive experience not only deepened their appreciation for India’s rich cultural and political heritage but also left them with lasting memories of an inspiring journey into the heart of the nation’s leadership.

Thrills, Teamwork, and Nature: An Unforgettable Adventure at Adventure DE

On December 10, 2024, the Grades 3 and 4 students from Shalom Presidency School embarked on an exciting adventure to Adventure DE. This experiential trip was designed to blend learning with thrill, aiming to nurture teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and environmental consciousness among young learners.

The day was a whirlwind of engaging activities. Students participated in a nature walk, team-building games, and thrilling rides such as Water Zorbie, Zipline, Bouncy, ATV off-roading, and camel rides. A special session on environmental awareness allowed them to explore local flora and fauna, identify different plant species, and develop physical strength and confidence.

The trip was a resounding success. Students demonstrated remarkable camaraderie, with many conquering their fears on the Zipline and embracing the sense of accomplishment it brought. The nature walks sparked curiosity and a love for the environment, while the awareness session instilled a deeper understanding of responsibility toward nature. This memorable adventure left students enriched with life skills and unforgettable experiences. Excursion Trip to Chail, Himachal Pradesh

Shalom Presidency School recently embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Chail, Himachal Pradesh, under the visionary leadership of our Founder & Chairperson - Dr. Mrs. Lilly George, and our Sherpa & Vice Chairman - Mr. Dennis George. This remarkable excursion, held from September 28th to October 1st, 2024, brought together enthusiastic students from Grades 7 and 8, accompanied by a dedicated team of teachers.

The success of this trip was a testament to the meticulous planning and unwavering commitment of our Navigators, whose dedication to holistic education extended far beyond the classroom, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

The group found solace at the breathtaking Fern Hill Property, where stunning views and exceptional hospitality set the stage for an extraordinary experience. The thoughtfully crafted itinerary balanced education, adventure, and team-building activities, ensuring that every moment was meaningful.

The journey started with a visit to the majestic Chail Palace, where students delved into the region\'s rich history and cultural significance. This was followed by an exploration of the vibrant local markets, immersing students in the colorful traditions of Himachal Pradesh.

Team-building games and invigorating treks were central to the trip, designed to cultivate collaboration, communication, and camaraderie among students. These engaging exercises not only fostered teamwork but also equipped students with essential life skills such as problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability.

As the trip unfolded, students and teachers shared countless memorable moments, strengthening bonds and forging lasting friendships. The stunning landscapes of Chail provided a breathtaking backdrop, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all participants.

Heritage Transport Museum

On August 18, 2024, Shalom Presidency school organized an educational day trip to the Heritage Transport Museum for its Grade VI students.
The trip offered a fascinating journey through the history and evolution of transportation. During the visit, students discovered a vast array of vintage cars, buses, and trucks, illustrating the progress of road transportation over time. The train gallery showcased historic locomotives and carriages, providing valuable insights into the development of rail transport.
The museum's interactive exhibits on aviation and maritime transportation further enriched the experience. Students learned about the science and technology behind flight and sea travel through engaging displays and a simulation movie.
This enriching experience not only broadened the students' knowledge but also sparked curiosity and excitement about the transformation of transportation systems.

A Journey Through Time: Grade 5 Explores the Heritage Transport Museum

On July 30, 2024, the students of grade 5 embarked on an exciting and educational adventure at the Heritage Transport Museum. This trip provided a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of various modes of transport throughout history.
Upon entering the museum, the students were captivated by a breathtaking collection of vintage cars, buses, and trucks. The displays highlighted the advancements in road transportation, allowing the students to compare different designs and technologies from various eras.
One of the most captivating sections was the train gallery, where the students explored historic locomotives and carriages. This immersive experience gave them a deep understanding of the evolution of rail transport.
The interactive exhibits on aviation and maritime transportation were particularly engaging. Students learned about the science and technology involved in flight, as well as the innovations that have transformed sea travel over the years.
This was an invaluable experience for all the grade 5 students. It not only expanded their knowledge of transportation history but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the technological advancements that shape our lives today.

Trip to Sariska - Shalom Presidency School Date: 15 December, 2023 – 17 December, 2023

A thrilling and adventurous trip to Sariska was organized by Rocksport for the students of Shalom Presidency School, for grades VIII and IX.. The trip spanned three days and two nights, filled with exciting activities and memorable experiences.

Day 1:
The students gathered at the school campus at 6:00 am in the morning. After prayer, they boarded the bus and began their journey to Sariska. The journey was comfortable, and they arrived at their destination at 12:00 pm in the afternoon. Upon reaching the campsite, the students were warmly welcomed by the Rocksport staff. A brief orientation session was conducted to acquaint them with the rules and regulations of the campsite. Following that, the students were allocated their tents and cottages. Afterward, a delicious lunch was served to replenish their energy. The students engaged in various games and adventure sports during the day, which provided them with an adrenaline rush like scrambling, Sport Climbing, Zipline etc. In the evening, snacks were provided, followed by a bonfire and a live singing session. Afterwards students participated in Journal Writing activity. The day concluded with a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2:
The second day was dedicated to an exciting trek to kikar forest. The students eagerly prepared for the trek and set off early in the morning. The trek was challenging yet rewarding as they explored the scenic beauty of Sariska. They got a first- hand feel of rural life and witnessed the flora and fauna of the forest. They successfully completed the trek by 5:00 pm. Upon returning, the students were served with snacks to replenish their energy. Afterwards, students were involved in Astronomy and star-gazing sessions. As the night fell, a captivating bonfire dance session was arranged which further enhanced the campsite experience. The day concluded with a scrumptious dinner.

Day 3:
The third day offered a variety of on-campus activities, including rappelling, rock climbing, and guerrilla warfare. The students actively participated in these thrilling activities, showcasing their skills and determination. The students were served with lunch to replenish their energy. It was a day filled with adventure and enjoyment. Students boarded the bus from the campus around 11:00 pm and reached their school campus in the evening by 5:00 pm.

Conclusion:
The trip to Sariska organized by Rocksport for the students of Shalom Presidency School was an incredible experience. The students had a great time engaging in various adventure sports, trekking, and on-campus activities. The campsite provided a perfect blend of thrill, relaxation, and learning. It was three days and two nights filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

ROCKSPORT EVENT REPORT

The Rocksport picnic was held on 9.10.2023 at Rocksport, village Gairatpur, Sohna Road, Gurugram. The program was specifically organized for students of the primary wing. It aimed to provide them a fun-filled day of adventure activities to enhance their confidence and promote teamwork. The students had the opportunity to participate in various adventure activities such as rock climbing, zip lining, magical maze, commando net, and many more. These activities not only provided them with a thrilling experience but also helped them develop essential skills such as problem-solving, physical endurance, and effective communication.

The camp was well-organized and supervised by both school teachers and instructors from Rocksport. This ensured the safety and well-being of all the participating students. The instructors from Rocksport were experienced and knowledgeable in conducting such activities, making the entire experience enjoyable and educational for the students.

The Rocksport picnic was a successful event that provided the students with a memorable day of adventure and learning. It allowed them to step out of their comfort zones, build their confidence, and work together as a team.
