Prestigious Economics Summit 2025

Shalom Presidency School continually endeavours to provide enriching learning experiences that empower students to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of the world. In line with this vision, a selected group of learners had the exceptional opportunity to attend the prestigious Economics Summit 2025 hosted by the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) on 8th April 2025.

The summit featured an illustrious panel of keynote speakers, including Mr. T.K. Arun, former Editor of The Economic Times, who shared valuable insights on the role of media and journalism in shaping economic policies, markets, and governance. Mr. Saurav Jha, founder of Delhi Defence Review, addressed contemporary issues related to geopolitics, defence, and the political economy to the audience.

SRCC students also introduced Shalomites to their economic journals, which showcase data collection and research on various economic policies and issues. A guided tour of the SRCC campus, led by enthusiastic student volunteers, offered our learners a glimpse into the rich history and academic culture of the Institution.

The summit proved to be a highly immersive and intellectually stimulating experience. Students explored vital themes, including Environmental-Social Governance, Stock Exchange operations, Startups, Investments, Financial Management, and Equity.

Celebration of Colours - Spectrum of Joy

The Annual Assembly 2025 of the Galaxy Wing at Shalom Presidency School was a spectacular celebration of creativity, unity, and joy. This year's theme, “Celebration of Colours - Spectrum of Joy,” beautifully symbolised the diversity of emotions, experiences, and aspirations that shape our lives.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by our Founder & Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Lilly George, Our Mother Darling, who emphasised the significance of colours and how they reflect the vibrancy of life. Her words set the tone for a day filled with enthusiasm and exuberance.

The stage came alive with mesmerizing performances by our talented students, each act representing a unique shade of artistic expression. From captivating dance sequences to soulful musical renditions, every presentation was a testament to their creativity and passion.

A special highlight of the event was the Graduation Ceremony, where our young scholars walked the aisle in elegant gowns and capes, marking a proud milestone in their academic journey.

The vibrant colours of this day will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the beauty that diversity brings to our lives.

Young CEO Program – Product Launch Ceremony

Some dream of success; others create it.

On a dynamic and inspiring afternoon, the Shalom Group of Schools, in collaboration with White Canvas India, proudly hosted the Product Launch Ceremony of the Young CEO Program at Shalom Presidency School, Gurugram. The event marked the powerful culmination of an entrepreneurial journey and celebrated the rise of a new generation of changemakers.

The ceremony commenced with a visionary address by Mr. Dennis George, Sherpa & Vice Chairman, whose empowering words set the tone for the young entrepreneurs who had dared to dream, act, and achieve. The spotlight then shifted to the Captain and Vice-Captain, who led the official launch of the student-driven brands “FLO” and “GREENRISE”—a defining moment showcasing innovation in action.

A captivating presentation by the brand Captain took the audience through the students’ entrepreneurial journey, from ideation to execution, highlighting brand development, revenue strategies, customer feedback, and more. The grand unveiling of FLO and GREENRISE revealed ventures that had already secured pre-bookings and achieved positive early cash flow, demonstrating tangible market success.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Samaresh Shah, founder of the White Canvas Young CEO Program, who was commended by Mr. George for his invaluable role in shaping student-led innovation. Mr. Shah, in turn, expressed heartfelt appreciation for school coordinators Ms. Mamta Malik and Ms. Sunaina Taneja, whose dedication ensured the program’s success.

Adding to the inspiration, Shalom alumna and successful entrepreneur Ms. Sanchi Mahendru shared her journey from school to launching her own cosmetic brand, motivating students to see success as both a mindset and a mission.

The White Canvas team also outlined the post-launch roadmap and announced Season 2 of the Young CEO Program, building excitement for the future. The event concluded with the first customers receiving their pre-booked products on stage and sharing positive reviews—proof that this initiative is more than a project; it is a movement.

FLO and GREENRISE now stand as powerful symbols of what can be achieved when passion meets purpose, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit nurtured at Shalom.

Educational Visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan

On 28th February 2025, 34 enthusiastic students of Grade IX, accompanied by their teachers, embarked on an educational visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The trip aimed to enhance their understanding of India’s governance, history, and architectural brilliance. As they stepped into the majestic premises, they were captivated by the grand structure, intricate designs, and the serene Amrit Udyan, which were in full bloom, painting a vibrant landscape.

Beyond the visual splendor, the visit provided valuable insights into the role of the President of India and the nation’s administrative framework. Students eagerly engaged in discussions, posing thoughtful questions about the historical artifacts and governance systems. The trip was meticulously planned, ensuring safety and supervision throughout. This immersive experience not only deepened their appreciation for India’s rich cultural and political heritage but also left them with lasting memories of an inspiring journey into the heart of the nation’s leadership.

Lippan Art Workshop

On January 23, 2025, Shalom Presidency School celebrated Republic Day in a truly artistic style by hosting a Lippan Art Workshop in collaboration with the Pidilite Group. This vibrant initiative transported students from Grades III to VI to the heart of Gujarat’s cultural legacy, where the timeless charm of mud and mirror art came alive in their hands.

The workshop began with a mesmerizing dive into the history and essence of Lippan art. Students were captivated as they discovered how this ancient craft has adorned homes and hearts in Gujarat for generations. With clay in hand and mirrors glinting in the light, the young artists let their imaginations run wild, crafting intricate designs that blended age-old traditions with a touch of modern flair.

The room buzzed with excitement as the students molded, shaped, and decorated their pieces, each creation a testament to their burgeoning creativity and dexterity. It wasn’t just art they were crafting; they were building connections to India’s soul, one mirror-studded pattern at a time.

The workshop concluded on a high note with an awe-inspiring exhibition of the students’ creations. The masterpieces sparkled with originality, leaving everyone amazed by the talent and vision of these young artisans.

This creative celebration of Republic Day was more than just an art class; it was a journey into India’s vibrant heritage—a day of discovery, inspiration, and the joy of bringing tradition to life.

Adventure to Adventure DE

On December 10, 2024, the Grades III and IV students from Shalom Presidency School embarked on an exciting adventure to Adventure DE. This experiential trip was designed to blend learning with thrill, aiming to nurture teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and environmental consciousness among young learners.

The day was a whirlwind of engaging activities. Students participated in a nature walk, team-building games, and thrilling rides such as Water Zorbie, Zipline, Bouncy, ATV off-roading, and camel rides. A special session on environmental awareness allowed them to explore local flora and fauna, identify different plant species, and develop physical strength and confidence.

The trip was a resounding success. Students demonstrated remarkable camaraderie, with many conquering their fears on the Zipline and embracing the sense of accomplishment it brought. The nature walks sparked curiosity and a love for the environment, while the awareness session instilled a deeper understanding of responsibility toward nature. This memorable adventure left students enriched with life skills and unforgettable experiences. We look forward to curating more such events that combine fun, learning, and growth for our young learners.
