Shalom Presidency School organised a Capacity Building
Programme (CBP) on "Managing Stress for Better Well-being and Enhanced
Performance" on 1st August 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the
holistic well-being and professional development of its educators. The
enriching workshop was conducted by esteemed CBSE Resource Persons Ms. Sonali
Chaudhary and Mr. Dilbag Singh, who guided participants through practical
approaches to managing stress and building resilience.
The session began with an insightful exploration of stress,
helping educators understand its physiological and psychological impact on
overall well-being and performance. Through engaging discussions, real-life
examples, and teacher-centric case studies, participants learned to identify
common stressors and explore effective coping mechanisms.
A key highlight of the workshop was the introduction to the
Four A's of Stress Management—Avoid, Alter, Adapt, and Accept. Teachers also
explored practical strategies such as task prioritisation, job redesign,
mindfulness practices, breathing techniques, and resilience-building exercises
that can be seamlessly integrated into their daily professional and personal
lives.
Interactive stress-buster activities and reflective exercises
made the learning experience both engaging and meaningful. The facilitators
encouraged participants to embrace holistic well-being, emotional balance, and
positive thinking while continuing to inspire young minds with renewed energy
and enthusiasm.
The workshop concluded with an interactive reflection
session, reinforcing the message that while stress is an inevitable part of
life, managing it effectively is the key to enhanced well-being, improved
performance, and sustained professional excellence.
