Shalom Presidency School, Gurugram, hosted a CBSE Workshop on Mental Health Awareness for its teaching faculty on Saturday, 22 November 2025, in the school’s Conference Hall. The insightful session was facilitated by Dr Param Dev Singh and Ms Pooja, who led the participants through meaningful conversations and hands-on activities centred around emotional well-being.
The workshop began with a focus on channelising one’s energy and practising mindfulness in thoughts, words, and actions. Teachers were encouraged to reflect on triggers that affect their mood and identify their strengths and areas for improvement. The speakers emphasised that love is a fundamental human need and that compassion helps overcome challenges.
A reference to the film “Do Aankhein Baarah Haath” prompted participants to reflect on behaviour and emotions. Teachers were also encouraged to connect with nature, release tension naturally, greet others positively, and manage emotions mindfully.
The session highlighted the adverse effects of excessive mobile use on brain function and recognised teachers as “the best actors” due to their adaptability. Participants were urged to address stress before it builds up.
Engaging role-plays based on real school scenarios made the workshop lively and relatable. The session concluded on an inspiring note, motivating teachers to adopt healthier emotional habits and contribute to a more positive school environment.
