Lohri, the grand festival of Punjab and the colourful kite-flying festival of Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan, which fall on 13th & 14th January respectively each year, mark the end of a long winter and the return of the sun to the northern hemisphere.
As always Shalom Presidency School celebrated these festivals with all zest and fervor on 13th January 2021.
The celebrations commemorated with dancing to the popular songs. A feeling of joy and jubilation was clearly visible on children’s faces as they did colouring on kites. The celebrations ended with Lohri Art & Craft
It was the best way to expose our tiny tots to various cultures and their celebrations!
