To commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 25, 2023, Grade VIII A of Shalom Presidency School conducted an assembly, which was attended by the students of grades VII and VIII.

• • Kargil Diwas is celebrated on July 26 to mark the victory of the Indian
• • It also marks the sacrifices of the martyrs who fought in this war
• The Kargil War, or conflict, was fought between India and Pakistan between May and July of 1999. It is also referred to as Operation Vijay, i.e., Victory.

The assembly started with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by shloka, word of the day, thought of the day, and news updates. Sparsh from grade VIII A delivered the speech on Kargil Diwas, followed by a presentation by Kushagra and Varalika Bajpai. The assembly was concluded by a patriotic song, followed by the school anthem and the national Anthem.
