On 26th September 2023, Shalom Presidency School had the privilege of hosting a distinguished guest speaker to discuss the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, India\'s flagship cleanliness and hygiene campaign.The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Kuldeep Hindustani , a renowned expert in the field of sanitation and a key contributor to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He has been appointed as brand ambassador of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan by MCG(Gurugram).He runs cleanliness campaigns in the city, women empowerment, polythene free campaigns, environmental protection campaigns in Gurugram as well as in the entire Haryana state.
He has also been awarded by Shri Manish Grover ji (Minister of State for Cooperation, Government of Haryana) for running a cleanliness campaign in Gurugram on 26 January,2023. He is running an NGO Buland Awaz Society at present .The organization does the work of making diesel from waste in collaboration with Gurugram district administration. The organization has been doing road safety activities on the roads and in schools. During the enlightening session, Mr. Kuldeep covered several key aspects of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, including its inception, objectives, and impact.
He highlighted the campaign\'s role in improving sanitation, reducing open defecation, and promoting cleanliness across India.He also shared statistics and success stories showcasing the transformative effects of the Abhiyan on both urban and rural areas. The audience was captivated by Mr. Kuldeep’s inspirational anecdotes and quotes related to the importance of cleanliness and emphasized that Swachh Bharat is not just a government initiative but a collective responsibility of every citizen. The students and faculty actively engaged with the speaker showing genuine interest in the topic.
