The Shalom Presidency Sports Meet is a much-awaited event that brings together students, teachers, and parents to celebrate athleticism, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. This year\'s meet, ‘AIKYAM’ held on February 9, 2024, was a testament to the spirit of healthy competition and the pursuit of excellence. The event had its grand opening with the flag hoisting ceremony and declaration of the Meet Open by the esteemed and our beloved Founder and Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Lilly George.
The venue buzzed with excitement and energy as students from Grades I-VIII gathered to participate in a wide range of track and field events. The atmosphere was electric, with colorful banners, cheering squads, and enthusiastic supporters adding to the festive ambiance. The meet featured a diverse array of events and the participants fiercely contested pushing themselves to new heights and setting personal bests along the way. One of the most heartening aspects of AIKYAM was the exemplary display of teamwork and sportsmanship exhibited by our students. Regardless of the outcome, participants cheered each other on, offering words of encouragement and support demonstrating the values of fair play, respect, and unity.
From record-breaking achievements to unexpected victories, each highlight added to the excitement and pride of the event. Notable performances in sprinting, relay races, and field events drew thunderous applause from the audience and inspired admiration from peers. Adding to the vibrancy and excitement of the Athletics Meet was a captivating performance by the SSB (Shahastra Seema Bal) band. The SSB band showcased their musical talents with a stirring performance that energized the crowd and set the tone for the event. Their spirited performance added a unique and memorable element to the festivities, further enhancing the overall experience for everyone in attendance All winning athletes were awarded with medals and certificates by Founder and Chairperson Dr Mrs Lilly George, Vice Chairman Mr Dennis George and Director Mrs Karishma George. At the closing ceremony, the dignitaries announced the Best March past House along with the Best Athletes and the Overall House Trophy.
