Puberty marks a pivotal stage in human development, signifying the transition from childhood to adolescence. Understanding this phase is key to supporting children as they navigate these important changes.
Under the astute leadership of our revered Founder and Chairperson. Dr. Mrs. Lilly George, our School Counsellor conducted a workshop titled \"Growing Great: Menstrual Hygiene\" for Grade VI girls on Thursday, 24th October 2024.
The session focused on understanding the menstrual cycle, debunking myths, and addressing common concerns. Students were educated on essential hygiene practices, including the use of clean sanitary products, proper disposal, and regular washing to prevent infections. They were also encouraged to ask questions in a safe, open environment, helping them feel more comfortable and confident about their changing bodies.
In addition to menstrual health, the workshop provided an overview of the physical, mental, emotional, and social changes associated with puberty, equipping the girls with knowledge and confidence to cope with these inevitable transitions.
