On January 23, 2025, Shalom Presidency School celebrated Republic Day in a truly artistic style by hosting a Lippan Art Workshop in collaboration with the Pidilite Group. This vibrant initiative transported students from Grades III to VI to the heart of Gujarat’s cultural legacy, where the timeless charm of mud and mirror art came alive in their hands.

The workshop began with a mesmerizing dive into the history and essence of Lippan art. Students were captivated as they discovered how this ancient craft has adorned homes and hearts in Gujarat for generations. With clay in hand and mirrors glinting in the light, the young artists let their imaginations run wild, crafting intricate designs that blended age-old traditions with a touch of modern flair.

The room buzzed with excitement as the students molded, shaped, and decorated their pieces, each creation a testament to their burgeoning creativity and dexterity. It wasn’t just art they were crafting; they were building connections to India’s soul, one mirror-studded pattern at a time.

The workshop concluded on a high note with an awe-inspiring exhibition of the students’ creations. The masterpieces sparkled with originality, leaving everyone amazed by the talent and vision of these young artisans.

This creative celebration of Republic Day was more than just an art class; it was a journey into India’s vibrant heritage—a day of discovery, inspiration, and the joy of bringing tradition to life.
