The Conference Room at Shalom Presidency School transformed into a dynamic courtroom on February 18, 2025, as the students of Grade VIII-A staged an electrifying Moot Court Presentation. The event, attended by all Grade VIII students, was designed to provide a hands-on experience of legal proceedings, hone advocacy skills, and offer a deeper understanding of the Indian legal system.
The case in question—Jiya Amoli v/s SBI—drew inspiration from the real-life case Rajesh Sakre v/s SBI. With remarkable intensity and professionalism, students assumed various legal roles, fiercely arguing for both the prosecution and the defense. Their compelling arguments, razor-sharp legal reasoning, and ability to engage in persuasive discourse left the audience spellbound.
More than just a courtroom simulation, the Moot Court served as an intellectually stimulating arena where students sharpened their critical thinking, refined their public speaking, and developed a deeper appreciation for the law. The event instilled discipline, analytical reasoning, and confidence, reminding all present of a fundamental truth—“No man is above the law, and no man is below it.”
Through passion, precision, and persuasion, Grade VIII-A proved that justice is not just an abstract ideal—it is an action, a pursuit, and a responsibility.
