On April 17, 2025, Shalom Presidency School came alive with the spirit of the past as the Social Science Department hosted the Historical Ramp Walk Competition for Grades VI to VIII. Held in the school’s Conference Room, the event was a captivating blend of fashion, facts, and flair, beautifully reflecting the vision of NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework.
The theme “Relive the Past!” inspired students to step into the shoes of iconic historical figures and revive three significant eras—Ancient, Medieval, and Modern India. Grade VI explored antiquity, Grade VII brought the medieval period to life, and Grade VIII showcased the essence of modern India.
With 57 enthusiastic participants, the ramp became a vibrant timeline of India’s legacy. Students mesmerized the audience with elaborate costumes, creative props, and powerful narrations that highlighted key cultural, political, and social elements of their chosen eras.
The event was not only an immersive celebration of India’s rich heritage but also a platform that nurtured confidence, creativity, and historical insight among the students, turning learning into a truly memorable experience.
