At our school, Labour Day was not just a date on the calendar—it became a heartwarming tribute to the unsung heroes who keep our campus shining and safe daily. With wide smiles and open hearts, we came together to honour the real champions of our everyday life—our dedicated housekeeping staff and vigilant lady guards.
The celebration began with a beautiful gesture from the primary students, who poured their gratitude into colourful, handmade cards. With crayons, glitter, and a whole lot of love, each card carried messages that spoke louder than words— “Thank You,” “You Make Our School Better,” “You Are Appreciated.” As these tokens of appreciation were handed over, the joy on the faces of our support staff was truly priceless.
Then came the fun! The school grounds turned into a playground of laughter as musical chairs spun into giggles and tug of war brought out everyone’s playful side. The staff, often seen tirelessly at work, now had their moment in the spotlight—cheering, playing, and enjoying like carefree children. The students clapped and cheered, bridging the gap between appreciation and celebration.
Labour Day emphasises a simple truth—every role matters, and behind every clean classroom and safe corridor is a person who deserves to be seen, celebrated, and sincerely thanked. This year’s celebration was more than just an event; it was a story of kindness, connection, and community.
