On May 3, 2025, Shalom Presidency School became the vibrant hub of learning as educators gathered for an insightful CBSE workshop on Learning Outcomes, led by the dynamic Ms. Reetika Bhandari. The workshop, designed with a laser focus on empowering teachers, dove deep into the heart of outcome-based education, unlocking its power to reshape classroom practices.
The session took a hands-on approach, breaking down learning outcomes into four key components: Stem, Action Verb, Learning, and Context. Through an interactive example, participants explored how to craft clear, measurable objectives: "By the end of this lesson, students will be able to describe the relationship between form and function of the human heart in an oral presentation."
Beyond theory, teachers were introduced to the Teachers' Resource for Achieving Learning Outcomes, a treasure trove of practical strategies designed to guide lesson planning, instruction, and assessment in alignment with CBSE guidelines. A standout moment was the introduction of the Teaching and Learning Cycle—a continuous, dynamic process of understanding student needs, planning instruction, delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, and providing meaningful feedback.
The workshop wasn't just a session; it was a journey of discovery, equipping educators with the tools to transform their teaching into a targeted, impactful experience that fosters measurable growth. Teachers left not only inspired but also ready to deliver lessons that empower students to think critically, learn actively, and achieve their fullest potential.
With creativity and purpose, the workshop redefined what it means to teach and learn in today's world!
