On July 3, 2025, students of Shalom Presidency School attended an engaging workshop titled Understanding DOGESE (Dog Language) in the Conference Room. Conducted by Ms. Avantika from GoSharpener, the session aimed to help students understand dog behaviour, emotions, and body language to build safe and friendly bonds with community dogs.
Students learned how dogs communicate through their eyes, tails, and posture, and how to identify moods such as happiness, fear, or aggression. Practical safety tips and ways to approach dogs respectfully were also shared. Adding a special touch to the session, Rocky, a rescued dog, interacted with the children and helped demonstrate the dos and don'ts of engaging with animals.
The workshop emphasised compassion, legal awareness, and responsible interaction with animals. It was an informative and interactive session that left students more aware, empathetic, and confident around dogs.
