National Sports Day was celebrated with great zeal and grandeur at Shalom Presidency School on 29th August 2025 through a special assembly in the Conference Hall, honouring the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

The celebration unfolded with the Morning Prayer and a Sanskrit shloka, followed by the Thought for the Day and news updates that set the tone of inspiration. The highlight of the event was a dynamic speech by students that paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand’s legacy and emphasised the values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Adding to the festive spirit were an engaging quiz, an energetic fitness challenge by the sports department, and a vibrant ramp walk where students proudly represented different games.

The assembly concluded on a patriotic note with the Shalom Anthem and the National Anthem, making the day a grand celebration of sportsmanship and youthful enthusiasm.
