On 9th December 2025, Shalom Presidency School hosted an enriching and insightful Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session in the Conference Hall. The resource person, Ms Ishita Sharma, addressed the students with clarity and sensitivity, shedding light on a topic essential to every growing girl.
The session opened with an explanation of the link between health and the menstrual cycle, followed by a discussion on puberty and the physical and emotional changes it brings. Ms Ishita helped students understand periods more confidently by debunking myths and misconceptions through scientific facts.
A core highlight of the session was the focus on maintaining menstrual hygiene—using clean sanitary products, ensuring personal care, and adopting safe disposal practices. The interactive question-answer segment further encouraged students to speak openly, building comfort and confidence around the subject.
Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and empowering, equipping students with essential knowledge to manage their health with awareness and dignity.
