Shalom Presidency School organised its Annual Assembly on 6 December 2025, presented by the students of Grade IV. Centered on the theme “The Awakening of Mangal Pandey,” the assembly delivered a powerful message highlighting the courage, patriotism, and sacrifice of Mangal Pandey, whose valour ignited the First War of Independence in 1857.
The programme began with a warm welcome to all, followed by an introduction to the life and legacy of Mangal Pandey. The young Shalomites presented a well-coordinated skit depicting the events leading to the revolt, effectively showcasing his bravery and unwavering stand against injustice. The performance beautifully captured the spirit of nationalism and the significance of standing up for one’s beliefs.
Patriotic songs and impactful dialogues added depth and emotion to the presentation. The confidence, stage presence, and teamwork displayed by the students were truly commendable and appreciated by all.
The event concluded with motivating words from the teachers, inspiring students to uphold values of courage, responsibility, and love for the nation. The Grade IV Annual Assembly proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience, leaving the audience with a deeper understanding of India’s history and the heroic legacy of Mangal Pandey.
