Shalom Presidency School proudly hosted AIKYAM – The Shalom Annual Sports Meet 2026 on Saturday, 21 February 2026, at the school ground. The four-hour sporting extravaganza unfolded as a vibrant celebration of athleticism, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The day began on an energetic note with a Zumba session for parents, setting an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and cheer. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Founder, Dr Mrs. Lilly George and our Sherpa & Vice Chairman- Mr Dennis George, whose encouragement added prestige and inspiration to the event. The ceremonial lighting of the torch by our revered Founder Ma’am, marked a symbolic beginning, representing perseverance and excellence. This was followed by a dignified torch run by the Sports Achievers of Session 2025–26 and the release of balloons, symbolising unity and aspiration. The Sherpa & Vice Chairman Sir then officially declared the meeting open. A disciplined March Past by Grades III and IV and the Oath Taking Ceremony highlighted coordination, commitment, and team spirit.
The sporting events featured recreational races for Grades I and II, competitive sprint events for senior grades, along with hurdles and relay races that showcased speed, agility, and teamwork. Graceful Rhythmic Yoga performances and vibrant mass demonstrations by students added colour and elegance to the programme. The meeting concluded with a grand Victory Ceremony celebrating the achievements of the participants, followed by parent engagement activities, the formal declaration of closure, the Vote of Thanks, and the National Anthem.
