At Shalom Presidency School we believe in teaching our children the importance of community and the roles that various individuals play in making our neighborhoods safe, healthy, and happy.

Understanding the roles of community helpers helps children:

- Develop a sense of gratitude and respect for those who serve the community.

- Learn about different careers and the tools and skills required for each.

- Recognize the importance of helping others and contributing to society.

We incorporated various engaging activities to teach children about these helpers. They came dressed up as different community helpers and spoke confidently about their character, thus enhancing their oratory skills. A story session through puppet show was also shown to the children that featured the By learning about community helpers the children learned to develop empathy and an understanding of the diverse roles that contribute to a functioning society.
