A CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Awareness and Training Session was conducted at Shalom Presidency School, Gurugram, on 15 January 2026 in the Conference Hall. The session was organised for the teaching faculty to strengthen emergency preparedness and equip educators with essential life-saving skills.
The session was led by Mr Shanky Dagar, a certified professional from the Medanta Hospital team, along with his trained associates. Through an engaging blend of theory and practice, Mr Dagar explained cardiac emergencies, clearly differentiating between a heart attack and cardiac arrest, and highlighted their causes, symptoms, and immediate response measures.
A live demonstration of CPR was conducted using mannequins, allowing teachers to gain hands-on experience in correct posture, hand placement, compression depth, rhythm, and sequence. Participants were also sensitised about precautions and appropriate situations for administering CPR. The session concluded with an awareness segment on the importance of installing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on campus. Overall, the initiative was highly informative and reinforced the school’s commitment to safety and holistic well-being.
