Shalom Presidency School organised a Cyber Awareness Workshop for students of Grades VI to VIII on 30th July 2026 in the Conference Hall, reinforcing the importance of safe, responsible, and ethical digital citizenship. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential knowledge about navigating the online world safely while protecting their personal information, identity, and digital well-being. The session commenced with a warm welcome by the student anchors, followed by an invocation.

A comprehensive presentation titled "Cyber Safety – Think Before You Click!" highlighted key aspects of cybersecurity, including the importance of safeguarding personal information, creating strong passwords, practising responsible social media behaviour, recognising and responding to cyberbullying, ensuring online gaming safety, and maintaining a healthy balance between screen time and offline life. Students were reminded that every digital action leaves a lasting footprint and that responsible choices are the foundation of online safety.

Adding a dynamic dimension to the programme, four student speakers delivered an engaging TED-style talk, "Guardians of the Grid," focusing on the three pillars of digital citizenship—cybersecurity, cyber ethics, and cyber safety. Through relatable examples and thought-provoking insights, they encouraged their peers to become responsible digital citizens, emphasising that behind every screen is a real person and behind every click is a conscious choice.

The workshop concluded on an inspiring note, successfully sensitising students to the realities of the digital world while empowering them with practical strategies to stay safe online. It served as a valuable reminder that digital responsibility is not just about technology, but about making informed and ethical decisions every day.
