Shalom Group of Schools hosted an enriching and thought-provoking workshop in collaboration with The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI) on the theme “Designing Classrooms for Gen Alpha.” The workshop aimed to explore innovative and future-ready educational practices that address the evolving learning needs of today’s students.
The session brought together educators and thought leaders who engaged in meaningful discussions on transforming traditional classrooms into dynamic, inclusive, and experiential learning spaces. With the rapidly changing global education landscape, the workshop emphasised the need to reimagine teaching methodologies that foster creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability among learners. The workshop featured distinguished speakers — Mr Apoorv, Ms Vidushi Malhotra, and Ms Faiza — who shared valuable insights drawn from contemporary global education practices. Their sessions highlighted the importance of integrating technology, adopting student-centric pedagogies, and designing experiential learning opportunities to effectively engage Gen Alpha learners, who are digital natives growing up in an ever-evolving world.
The speakers also discussed practical strategies such as designing flexible, interactive classroom environments, encouraging inquiry-based and project-based learning, integrating digital tools to enhance engagement and understanding, and nurturing emotional intelligence and a sense of global citizenship among students.
Participants actively engaged in collaborative discussions and reflective activities, gaining practical insights into implementing innovative classroom practices in their own institutions. The workshop provided a valuable platform for educators to exchange ideas, reflect on current teaching approaches, and explore new strategies aligned with international educational standards.
