Shalom Presidency School conducted an Emergency
Evacuation Drill on 8 August 2026 at 1:30 PM to assess the
preparedness, coordination and response of teaching and non-teaching staff
during emergencies such as fire, earthquake or other threats. Staff members
followed the evacuation protocol, conducted floor-wise checks of classrooms,
washrooms and corridors, and assembled safely at the designated area. The
emergency alarm system was clearly audible across all floors, and the
evacuation time improved from 2 minutes in the first attempt to 1 minute 40
seconds in the second attempt. The drill highlighted effective coordination
and reinforced the importance of regular practice and surprise drills to ensure
the safety and preparedness of the entire school community.
