Shalom Presidency School, in collaboration with iDream Career (IDC),
organised a comprehensive Career Guidance Programme for Class XI students on
18th and 20th–21st August 2026. The initiative aimed to help students
understand their strengths, explore career possibilities, and make informed
decisions about their academic and professional futures.
The programme began with a Career Orientation Workshop conducted by Ms
Sadhna Soni, where students explored diverse career opportunities and were
introduced to the IDC Dashboard for continued access to career resources and
counselling support.
Students then undertook the API (Aptitude and Personality Inventory)
Assessment, designed to provide insights into their aptitude, interests,
strengths, and personality traits. These insights formed the basis for
personalised career counselling.
On 20th and 21st August, individual Parent–Student Counselling Sessions
were conducted by four IDC counsellors, with each family receiving a dedicated
30-minute session. The counsellors analysed individual assessment reports and
guided students and parents on stream selection, career options, higher
education pathways, and preparation for future goals.
The programme provided students with greater clarity, confidence, and
self-awareness, while strengthening the collaboration between the school,
parents, and IDC in supporting informed and meaningful career choices.
