Shalom Presidency School organised a Grade 4 Academic
Presentation on “From Barter to Barcode – A Journey Through the Value of
Money” in the school auditorium on 9.10.26.. The presentation
traced the evolution of money from the barter system to modern digital
transactions through creative performances, demonstrations, and real-life
examples.
Integrating experiential learning with essential life
skills, students highlighted the importance of saving, wise spending, sharing,
and responsible financial decisions. The Barter Station, where students
and parents exchanged discarded electronic items and colourful plastic bottle
caps, was a special attraction, promoting reuse, recycling, and environmental
responsibility.
The presentation was a meaningful blend of creativity,
teamwork, and practical learning, reinforcing the timeless values of gratitude,
responsibility, and wise decision-making.
