To mark Bastille Day, the National Day of France, the students of Grade
7 A conducted a special morning assembly on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, in the
Conference Hall. The assembly was attended by Principal Ma'am and the teachers
and students of Grades 6–8.
The programme commenced with the Prayer and Shloka, followed by the
Thought of the Day in both English and French, and the presentation of
National, International, and Sports News. An informative speech highlighted the
historical significance of Bastille Day, commemorating the Storming of the
Bastille on 14 July 1789 and its enduring ideals of liberty, equality, and
fraternity. The assembly concluded with the melodious French song Chante la
Vie and a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, leaving the audience with a deeper
appreciation of French history, culture, and values.
