As an extension of the Hydroponics
Workshop conducted at Shalom Presidency School in July 2026 under the Kaushal
Bodh Project, Grade VIII students visited TarUsha Farms, Gurgaon on
25.09.26 for an engaging experiential
learning experience.
Students explored various soil-less
farming techniques and hydroponic setups, observed the cultivation of
microgreens, and learned about their nutritional value and market potential.
They also witnessed demonstrations of the RO water purification system and
TDS testing, gaining an understanding of nutrient balance and water
management in hydroponic farming. The functioning of cool pads and
climate-control systems inside the polyhouse was also explained.
The visit, facilitated by Ms.
Hema, provided students with valuable insights into sustainable
agriculture, modern farming technologies, and entrepreneurship. It helped them
connect classroom concepts with real-world applications while fostering scientific
curiosity, environmental awareness, and practical learning.
