Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Shalom Presidency School, Gurugram. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only
learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and culture just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school
community together building a close bond between the children.
Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dussehra was celebrated at Shalom Presidency School with great devotion. A morning Assembly was conducted where in the teacher apprised the students through a PPT about Dussehra and Durga Pooja and children were shown a short movie on the story behind the celebration of this festival which marks the victory of good over evil. The little hands enjoyed making a puppet of Ravana. Many children had also come dressed up as various characters from the epic Ramayana.
