Shalom Presidency School hosted the English Declamation Competition for the students of Class VI-VIII in the school conference Hall. Declamation, derived from the Latin word ‘declaim’ means to speak in a rhetorical manner with a feel. This feel was to convey a social message with clarity, emotion and persuasiveness. This competition also served as a platform to promote an exchange of ideas and among the students. Students displayed their oratory talent by declaiming speech on the topic- Great Teachers of the World. It was a treat to hear all the participants delivering the speeches with keen enthusiasm and perfection. They were very expressive, confident and had good intonation. The students’ perspectives regarding the topic was acknowledged and applauded by the judges and the audience.
