Session: 2025-26
Shalom Presidency School proudly emerged as the winner of Round 2 (Secondary Category) in the prestigious STEM Futures Challenge, organised by the British Council in collaboration with Formula 1 Session 2025-26. Competing against leading schools from across India, the achievement highlights the school’s commitment to innovation, global collaboration, and future-ready learning.
The talented student team comprising Reyansh Kaura, Dinara Mehta, Myra Kaur, Bankebihari Srivastava, Akshita Saini, and Armaan Kapoor collaborated with Breda Academy, Northern Ireland, to address a significant global issue — the rising concern of smoking and vaping among youth worldwide.
Demonstrating exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills, the students developed a smart real-time detection system using gas sensors and microcontroller technology. The innovative solution is capable of identifying smoking or vaping activities instantly and alerting school authorities in real time. Designed as a practical and cost-effective model, the project aims to promote safer, healthier, and smoke-free environments within educational institutions.
The competition provided students with a valuable platform to engage in international teamwork, critical thinking, and technological innovation while working on real-world challenges. Their remarkable success reflects not only their technical excellence but also their dedication, collaboration, and commitment towards creating meaningful social impact.
