Shalom Presidency School successfully hosted its inaugural intra-school AI event, “SYNAPSE SHOWDOWN – Where Intelligence Meets Intelligence,” under the Shalom 2.0 banner. The event provided students with an exciting platform to move beyond theoretical learning and explore the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence.
Seven enthusiastic teams participated in the competition, demonstrating their ability to train, test, evaluate and deploy AI models and integrate them into interactive web applications. The event encouraged students to apply computational thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills while working collaboratively to develop innovative solutions.
An esteemed panel comprising Ms Pooja Rajput, Ms Poonam Joshi and Mr Lalit Sharma evaluated the teams on parameters including AI model accuracy, testing, web application integration, innovation, creativity and presentation.
Ranbir Saini, Hardik Katyal and Raghav Mishra secured the First Prize, while Naman Saini, Avneesh Jha and Natesh won the Second Prize. The Third Prize was shared by Ethan Thomas and Adwik Rai, and Joypreet Kaur, Anshee Laroia and Demira Awasthi.
The event was conducted with the valuable guidance and encouragement of the school leadership, judges and teachers. SYNAPSE SHOWDOWN successfully transformed classroom learning into a hands-on technology experience, strengthening students’ skills in innovation, collaboration, communication and problem-solving.
The event concluded on a high note, inspiring students to view AI not only as a technology to learn, but as a powerful tool to create, innovate and solve real-world challenges.
