On April 12, 2025, Shalom Presidency School had the privilege of hosting a transformative workshop on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, organized by CBSE. Held in the school auditorium, the workshop was conducted by esteemed CBSE resource persons, Dr. Neelima Kamrah and Ms. Sandhya Arora, whose insightful session left the Shalom teaching faculty both inspired and empowered.
The session was dynamic and engaging, emulating student-centric pedagogies that educators could readily apply in their classrooms. Through hands-on activities, thought-provoking discussions, and collaborative reflections, the facilitators illuminated key components of the NCF 2023—particularly focusing on cognitive development, competency-based education, and the holistic development of the learner.
The workshop emphasized the Curricular Goals (CG-1 to CG-11) outlined in the NCF, highlighting the integration of history, geography, social science, environment, and civic values to foster critical thinking, empathy, and a sense of national identity. Teachers gained deeper insights into how concepts like unity in diversity, sustainability, and democratic values can be seamlessly woven into everyday learning.
With a clear vision of nurturing learners who are not only academically sound but also emotionally and socially competent, the session reinforced the need for an inclusive and interconnected learning experience. The CBSE workshop stood as a beacon, guiding educators toward a more enriched, meaningful, and future-ready education system.
