Shalom Presidency School hosted the Vox Shalom Debate Championship on Saturday, 22 August 2026, bringing together 42 enthusiastic young debaters across 14 teams for an engaging celebration of critical thinking, confidence and the power of expression.

The championship featured 14 teams, comprising 6 Senior teams and 8 Junior teams. With spirited arguments, thoughtful perspectives and impressive rebuttals, the event provided students with a dynamic platform to articulate their ideas, listen to opposing viewpoints and engage in meaningful discourse.

The debates were adjudicated by the esteemed TAIVAS judges, who assessed the participants on their ability to construct arguments, present ideas with clarity, respond spontaneously and demonstrate effective debating skills. The competitive yet encouraging environment allowed students to challenge themselves and learn from one another.

The Junior Championship was clinched by Crystal Clear, while The Verbal Warriors emerged as the Senior Champions. Among the individual recognitions, Kiaan and Jash Sachin Behede were honoured as the Best Improvement Speakers, while Vidhi and Ranjan were recognised as the Consistent Speakers for their commendable and steady performances.

The championship witnessed several noteworthy performances, with students such as Vedanshi Chauhan, Aahan Verma, Zidane Peer, Manya Shainu, Sanaya Sethi, Ethan, Saanvi, Trisha, Asmi, Samaira, Aghamya and Kiaan featuring among the leading speakers across the two categories.

More than a competition, Vox Shalom was an experience in courage, communication and intellectual curiosity. It encouraged students to think beyond prepared responses, respect diverse perspectives and find their voice in a world where the ability to communicate ideas with conviction matters.
