Grade VI Annual Assembly - The Journey of Zero

The Grade VI Annual Assembly at Shalom Presidency School was graced by the esteemed presence of our respected Founder, Dr Lilly George and our Sherpa & Vice Chairman- Mr Dennis George. Their presence added significance to the occasion as students presented a thought-provoking programme on the theme “The Journey of Zero” on 15 October 2026.

The assembly explored the profound idea that every individual possesses inherent worth and that true value extends beyond external recognition. Through an engaging combination of theatrical presentations and dance performances, the students conveyed the importance of self-belief, individuality, and mutual respect.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by expressions of gratitude to the school leadership for their constant guidance and encouragement. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the prayer created an auspicious beginning, setting the tone for an enriching presentation.

Students of Grades VI-A, VI-B, and VI-C brought the theme to life through creative storytelling, expressive acting, and graceful dance sequences. Their performances highlighted the significance of zero and its remarkable contribution to mathematics, while drawing a meaningful parallel with human life. The presentation emphasised that every individual has a unique identity and that even what may appear insignificant can hold immense value in the right context.

The event was attended by parents and grandparents, whose presence and encouragement made the occasion even more memorable. The grand finale brought the performances together in a compelling conclusion, reinforcing the message that self-worth, acceptance, and appreciation of others are essential to personal growth.

Through The Journey of Zero, the students beautifully conveyed that true worth is not determined by outward appearances or recognition, but by the value we discover within ourselves and the difference we make in the lives of others.
